As an editor, I strive to make your manuscript the best possible version of itself. I help present your original research effectively while maintaining your unique voice. Hire me to edit your article, dissertation, or book, and you can look forward to working with someone with a meticulous eye for errors, an ear for clear, communicative sentences, and expertise in style and citation guidelines (Chicago Manual of Style; MLA; APA).
I approach editing with both a researcher’s knowledge of best practices for scholarly writing in the humanities and a creative writer’s ear for effective style and strong sentences. My years of experience as an educator have also honed my ability to clearly communicate suggested changes to writing and the reasons behind them.
I hold an MA in Comparative Literature from Penn State University and an AB in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, with certificates in African Studies, Environmental Studies, and Creative Writing. I have reached ABD status in Penn State’s dual-title PhD in Comparative Literature and African Studies, having completed all required coursework and examinations for the degree.
